This coffee comes from the Yirgacheffe region in southwestern Ethiopia. Yirgacheffe is famous for one of the highest quality coffees in the world, which is linked thanks to the warm tropical climate, fertile soils and high altitudes. The gardens here lay over 2,000 masl. This altitude qualifies Yirgacheffe coffees for Strictly High Grown (SHG) / Strictly Hard Bean (SHB). This means the berries ripen more slowly, giving the tree extra time to deliver nutrients to the cherries and develop vibrant flavors. Many aspects of coffee production in Yirgacheffe are still carried out in the traditional way that has been used for centuries, which makes it organic and environmentally friendly. The Adorsi processing station was established in the village of the same name in Aricha in 2018 by the trading company Testi. The station is located at an altitude of 1900 - 2100 m.a.s.l. and serves about 800 farmers in the region. Testi Coffee is a family company, a supplier of high-quality specialty coffee from Ethiopia. It was founded in 2009 by producer Faysel Abdosh. Testi Trading PLC is a member of the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange (ECX), African Coffee Association (AFCA), Ethiopian Coffee Exporters Association (ECEA) and Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce (ECC). Today, the company owns 20 processing stations in the Sidama, Guji and Yirgacheffe areas.
