The coffee for this blend comes from farms in Matazano, La Paz Department, southwestern Honduras, near the Montecillos Reserve. The indigenous Lenka people call this region “the place of stone” due to its mountainous terrain and dense jungle. La Paz features clay loam soils and a temperate climate. Coffee trees grow under shade, often beside banana palms. They receive less sunlight, resulting in lower yields but higher quality beans.
